BLACKBEAR
Made with white colored pencil and splattered blue paint by flicking a toothbrush onto black matte board, this piece was inspired by a trip to Santa Fe, NM where I learned about Native American spirit animals, My subject was the black bear, which symbolizes healing, strength, and wisdom.
This frame was made during a 3 week intensive framing workshop where I learned how to use various tools in order to achieve a high quality frames. Inserting of cedar wood corners and hand matted display create a sophisticated yet warm framed work of art.
